How we curate
Every list is human-curated, not algorithm-generated. We start with US Social Security Administration popularity data, layer in cultural-society naming records (Irish Central Statistics Office, Italian ISTAT, INSEE for France, etc.), and confirm meanings against academic sources. Names that have been retired by their origin culture are excluded. Names with controversial historical associations are flagged in the meaning.
